On Monday (September 16), People Magazine broke the news that there will not be a wedding for the couple.
Cyrus and Hemsworth started dating four years ago when they realized their on-screen chemistry in ‘The Last Song’ was more than acting. After announcing their engagement last June, the two have experienced ups and downs in avoiding break-up rumors.
Cyrus attended the premiere of Hemsworth’s new movie ‘Paranoia’ just last month. However, the pop star showed signs of trouble in paradise over social media. When Hemsworth was in Vegas attending the Mayweather vs. Alvarez fight this past weekend, Cyrus unfollowed her fiance on Twitter.
The news comes on the tail of a bittersweet week for the pop star, as her music video for ‘Wrecking Ball’ just broke the record on Vevo. The confirmation also broke on the day that Cyrus’ Harper Bazaar interview hit newsstands. In the magazine, the star hints at her personal life and wedding plans.
Cyrus said, "I definitely don't have time to deal with a wedding right now. But I will at some point."
"I'm someone who cares about the real things in life," the pop star continued. "There are things that are personal that stress me out, but my career? That doesn't affect me. I know I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing."
Cyrus seems to be focusing on work for now. She is currently prepping for the October 8 release of her new album, Bangerz.
