There is growing concern that Smackdown main event superstar Edge will not be ready for Wrestlemania.
Edge has been the top heel on Smackdown for three years and draws perhaps the best pure heel heat of anyone on the roster. He comes off as a slimy backstabber who will take any opportunity to succeed. To make matters more impressive, he actually pulls that off during his matches, meaning that while they aren't always to best on the card, they're almost always good enough to make you want to see to get that lucky bastard get beat.
That leaves the WWE working out matches from the following at Wrestlemania: John Cena, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Batista, Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho, Big Show and possibly CM Punk. They could concievably have another star ready by then, but it doesn't appear likely. My guess is on a Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H match, since it's been five years since their last encounter. Undertaker will probably face Chris Jericho, getting a very good match and keeping the streat alive. That leaves John Cena vs. a heel Batista, which should certaily work, and Rey Mysterio vs. either the Big Show or, preferably, CM Punk. That show is certainly very good, but Edge, particularly a face Edge allows for a big angle with either Batista or CM Punk, allowing one more big match on top of Smackdown and making it so that the Undertaker's streak match can be a main event attraction and not a title match. Time will tell how the WWE plays this with Edge looking to be hurt for Wrestlemania.

Besides Jericho vs Taker, the only other possibility would be Cena vs Taker if you want to top the epic feel of HBK/Taker from last year.

Id love to see a HBK vs HHH title mainevent at wm26. they have great history, amazing rivalry and classic matches.
I really dont wanna see another title match or mainevent at wm26 with Cena, Punk or Batista in it. wwe should get back to entertaining wrestling matches, with wrestler who can wrestle, and have great history :)
Id be upset if we dont get a HBK vs HHH title match at wm26. It would be great to see Shawn as champion again, hes the only wrestler who can actually wrestle a 5 star match. (Taker and jericho can on their day aswell)
I don't think that Cena vs. Undertaker would be a better match than HBK vs. 'Taker, but it certainly would get insane heat, since Cena's the only guy who could conceivably end the streak. If nothing else, his young fans would totally buy in to it. They really should do it at a 'Mania soon, if not this year. I'm wondering if Jericho vs. 'Taker's not a feud they're planning on running more in the coming months, given the three way this month and the dearth of heels on Smackdown who aren't Punk and Batista.
Triple H vs. Shawn was a match I was sick to death of five years ago, so I'm not jumping for joy over the prospect of another, but I can see it working with a good build (and a different dynamic; either face v. face or Shawn acting the heel).
I'd rather see Edge fight Jericho at 'Mania. They set up that feud really, really well over the summer, it's fresh, and Jericho's the only guy I can see being a big enough heel to get the fans behind Edge.
