Baseball writers should be ashamed of themselves.
Craig Biggio deserved to be in Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 2012.
Unfortunately, that did not happen and it's now 2013.
But I can almost guarantee you Biggio will be inducted in 2014.
Why?
There's no reason he shouldn't have been inducted already.
However, many writers hold grudges against first-timers.
That is the only reason that I can fathom as to why Biggio was not inducted last year.
No steroids or scandals have ever been in his life.
A complete role model and stand-up guy since day one, Biggio will always be one of a kind.
Both on and off the field of play, players such as Biggio remain the epitome of America's Pastime.
Biggio, who broke numerous milestones in a career spent entirely with one franchise, the Astros, will never be forgotten in Houston.
But don't worry, guys; Biggio will be back on the ballot next year, and this time he won't come up short.
Mark my words: Biggio will be inducted in 2014...
