No BlizzCon 2012, says Blizzard

Snuck into a press release this morning about the 2012 Battle.net World Championship Event was an announcement that BlizzCon, the annual Blizzard Entertainmnet convention showcasing all things World of Warcraft, Diablo, and more, would be cancelled for 2012.

Citing their "jam-packed schedule" and the desire to get the next WoW expansion, Mists of Pandaria, and the next Diablo into gamers' hands as fast as possible, Blizzard has decided to hold the next BlizzCon in 2013.

Exact dates for BlizzCon 2013 have not been released.  Stay tuned to this column for BlizzCon news as it comes up.
