After watching a movie on a DVD, I happened to observe a section that defined other endings to the movie, so if you didn't like how the publicized one came out, you could select another. And, of course, my silly mind turned to the fast forward and reverse buttons on the remote as well. How easy it was to select the parts of the movie you want to see and boy, don't you wish we could do that in real life, only focus on the beautiful beginnings or blessed celebrations?
But as you probably know where this is going again, there are no replay buttons to our past life, like it or not. Consequently, it is not in our power to fast forward to the future either. And some would say there are no alternative endings. That is true; we can't decide how we are going to die whether it be from a long illness or a hit and run. I am hoping for the long sleep myself. For those that believe, that is in the hands of one greater than ourselves. But we can choose a different end result in our development as people by selecting which road we would like to travel. Only you can choose the journey.

In other words, though exhausted from daily endeavors, write one more story if you are a writer. Paint a new picture in oils that you have never used before or photograph one more sky that ultimately captures the best. Re-write that resume or create a new portfolio. If unemployed, apply for one more job since yesterday. Call on that job you applied last week. Take a look at what you have accomplished at the end of the day. Is it really where you want to be in the end?
