No. 4 Cornell wrestling dominates No. 14 Iowa State, 28-11

Fourth-ranked Cornell University wrestling scored a dominating 28-11 win over No. 14 Iowa State at Hilton Coliseum Sunday afternoon.

The Big Red won seven of ten bouts, racking up bonus points in three of those victories, including consecutive pins from Steve Bosak and Cam Simaz at 184 and 197 pounds, and a major-decision win for Frank Perrelli at 125 pounds.

The Cyclones got bonus points in two matches -- a major decision win for heavyweight Matt Gibson, and, for Andrew Sorenson, a four-point technical fall at 165 pounds (four points because Sorenson did not get back points.

With the win, Cornell is now 8-0 for the season, and 4-0 in the EIWA (Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association); Iowa State falls to 2-12 overall, and 0-6 in the Big 12.
