New Kids alums Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Danny Wood, and Donnie Wahlberg will star in ”Rock This Boat: New Kids on the Block,” an eight-episode series that will feature diehard fans on a week-long cruise with the popular boy band. A casting special has also been ordered, so obsessed NKOTB fans may want to brush up on their auditioning skills.

A press release posted by Deadline revealed: “For the past five years, NKOTB has sold out its wildly popular concert cruises, and for the first time ever, cameras will follow the fun, free-spirited voyage of a few select groups of super fans at sea with the band mates of NKOTB.”

While the still-popular boy band will kick off their European tour in Stockholm next week, a cruise from New York City to Bermuda is scheduled for June, so it’s safe to assume that’s when the reality show will be taped.

This won’t be the first reality series for some NKOTB members. Earlier this year, Wahlberg’s A&E reality series, “Wahlburgers,” went behind the scenes at his family’s hamburger chain, and the star also executive produced the TNT reality show, “Boston’s Finest,” which chronicled the operations behind Boston’s police department. Jordan Knight appeared on the third season of VH1’s “The Surreal Life,” while McIntyre competed on the first season of “Dancing With the Stars.”

The press release reveals that NKOTB will be the first group to headline the all-new eight-episode series franchise, which hints that there will be more editions to follow, so it will be interesting to see who signs on to the reality series in the future.

While this will be the first time cameras will cruise with them, The New Kids have actually hosted Carnival Cruises in the past. In addition, other musicians are known for rocking the high seas with their fans. Singer Rick Springfield has headlined his very own Rick Springfield and Friends cruise several times, and Kid Rock still rocks the boat with his annual Chillin' the Most cruise.
