The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife has announced the formation of the Wildlife Rehabilitators Advisory Committee (WRAC) and its appointees. The purpose of the Committee is to provide advice and assistance to the division on how to incorporate input from New Jersey's licensed wildlife rehabilitators to improve the wildlife rehabilitation program and the care provided to injured and orphaned wildlife.
The WRAC is comprised of wildlife rehabilitators, representatives of the Endangered and Nongame Species Advisory Committee and the Fish and Game Council, and a representative from another state Department. Mammal, bird and reptile rehabilitators are each well-represented on the Committee.
The first meeting of the committee will be this Friday, February 10 at 10 am, at the Division of Fish and Wildlife's Central Region Office, located on the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area, 1 Eldridge Rd., in Robbinsville, Monmouth Co.
