NJ starts gun grab after CT shooting

NJ senate bill S 2497 is being considered through the Senate. Bill S 2497 would make it illegal for guns to hold more than 5 rounds. Currently, the minimum number of rounds that a gun can hold in NJ is 15 rounds. This would make most pistols illegal in NJ because the smallest number of rounds most pistols hold would be 6 rounds.

An identical bill is being introduced in the NJ state assembly, A 3664. It was introduced January 14th, two weeks before the senate's version of the bill. Here are other bills limiting the use of guns being considered:

NJ AR139 Urges President and Congress to reauthorize assault weapons ban.

NJ AR133 Expresses support for creation of task force on gun control led by Vice President Biden.

NJ A3667 Requires mental health screening by licensed professional to purchase a firearm.

NJ A3645 Requires ammunition sales and transfers be conducted as face-to-face transactions.

NJ A3510 Requires proof of firearms safety training as a condition for issuance of firearms purchaser ID cards and permits to purchase handguns.
