Where are you gonna buy a GTR for 70K? GTRs in the states have been sold for over 100k, and my local Nissan Dealership has a GTR for sale at 120k.
The GTR is very challenging to modify. Nissan has gone to great lengths to make it that way. Can it be modified? Yes, but you won't get a fully built one for anything even close to 100k.
As for having all exotics beat on tracks, you're wrong about that too. Viper SRT10 ACR is faster around the Nurburgring, as is the Corvette ZR1.
It's a good car, no doubt one of the best ever built. Is it THE best? No. Is it the cheapest? Possibly, though price is very similar to ZR1 which is faster, is manual, and is RWD.
The GTR is a technological marvel that makes poor drivers look like pros due to the massive amount of technology involved, however, the car is criticized for being soulless and robotic in character and not involving the drivers.
