Nissan GT-R P800 vs Ferrari Enzo speedometer contest

I recently came upon footage of a Ferrari Enzo reaching 225 mph in a timed run. It took over a minute to reach the top speed of 360 kmh. I thought this was rather slow compared to the recent footage I covered illustrating a Nissan GT-R Switzer P800 reaching 186 mph in only 19 seconds. So I took the liberty to create a comparison video showing both speedometers. I think you'll be surprised at the outcome. First, let me share with you the original Ferrari Enzo footage showing the 225 mph run in it's entirety.

Video footage: Ferrari Enzo runs 225 mph

That was pretty fast right? Not really. Now let's take a look at the footage shown in this article illustrating the Nissan GT-R with a Switzer P800 performance package. Powered by a modified twin turbo 3.8 liter V6 and all-wheel drive, the Nissan GT-R has a much more impressive launch than the rare Ferrari Enzo. Let's not forget that the Enzo is much older than the GT-R, but still it's a Ferrari. For any JDM to smoke a Ferrari Enzo is an accomplishment that needs to be noted. Let's take a look at the original GT-R footage.

Video footage: Nissan GT-R hits 186 mph in 19 seconds

So now you have seen both originals, and you can probably tell that the difference is night and day. The GT-R has much better acceleration, launch, and can carry the acceleration throughout the entire RPM band. Now we get to take a look at the combined video that shows the GT-R speedometer in a picture-in-picture window. You can immediately notice the much faster 0-60 time of the GT-R as it launches like a rocket ship past the Ferrari. As the speed builds, a large gap begins to open up between the vehicles. Maybe one day we can see an actual race, but until then this is the best we have.

The GT-R may be faster, but it is by no means a better vehicle that the Ferrari Enzo. The Enzo brings together luxury and prestige into a collectors model that only a few can afford. The GT-R is a performance machine that upper-middle class citizens can afford, and blow by the collectors in their super rich chariots! It's all about what you want, if it's all around speed go for the GT-R. If you want a collectors piece that can sit in your private car museum, buy the Enzo. Either way, both of these cars are awesome and I hope one day we can see a comparative race featuring both contestants!

This video of the GTR is bogus garbage, That GTR can only go 192 mph tops. It does a quarter mile in 11.28 seconds. It is in no way faster than a standard Enzo. Don't believe this video. It's BS!
