NIS America releasing ‘Cardcaptor Sakura’ this August

Anime and video game publisher NIS America today announced that it will be releasing the popular shojo anime series, “Cardcaptor Sakura”, in North America this August.

NIS America will release the Mad House produced anime series, based on the manga by CLAMP, beginning on August 5, 2014 in both premium and standard editions. You can learn more about the anime series by visiting the official page. The manga is also published in North America by Dark Horse Comics.

The Premium Edition release of “Cardcaptor Sakura” will include 70 episodes on 9 Blu-ray discs, an illustrated 76-page hardcover art book and a collectible slipcase. It will have an SRP of $249.99.

The Standard Edition of the series will be a DVD version of the anime and be split into three volumes, with between 23-24 episodes on 4 DVDs, priced at $59.99 each. Both Premium and Standard versions will be in Japanese with English subtitles and also include a bonus English dub.
