Known for its hit anime-styled video games like the “Disgaea” and the “Atelier” series, NIS America just announced its plans to bring “Black Rock Shooter: The Game” for PSP via the PlayStation Network. American gamers can expect it as early as April 23 while most European gamers can expect it a day later.

Black Rock Shooter was cure original character ilustration designed by illustrator Ruohei Fuke. Later Ryo of Supercell created the song “Black Rock Shooter” based on the character using the Vocaloid singing syntesizer. There is also an anime about this girl in black.

Developed by Imageepoch, “Black Rock Shooter: The Game” is a video game where players control the titular Black Rock Shooter as she runs, dodges, and third person shoots her way through a futuristic world invaded by aliens. As an action RPG, players can upgrade Black Rock Shooter's stats, weapons, and dodging capabilities. Popular among anime and Vocaloid fans, NIS America brags that “Black Rock Shooter: The Game” promises excellent artwork, a variety of skills to develop Black Rock Shooter, and plenty of missions with hidden moments of drama as the story unfolds.

Currently there is no mention of the price of this upcoming NIS America game on the PlayStation Network. Unfortunately, anime and Vocaloid fans in Canada, Mexico, and select European countries will find “Black Rock Shooter: The Game” unavailable on the PlayStation Network in their countries due to licensing and copyright restrictions.
