If you're in New York on January 25th, 2013, there will be a party for the release of The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia.
The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia is a 280 page hardcover book featuring concept art, the history of the franchise, and an exclusive comic of The Legend of Zelda manga by Akira Himekawa. This book is published by Dark Horse and set to release January 29th, 2013. Standard copies of this book are still available for pre-order.
The event will take place at Nintendo World in New York, NY from 6pm to 8pm. There will be a costume contest, and both the standard and limited edition will be available for purchase that evening. Dark Horse also states on their Facebook page that there will be cupcakes of a Link mosaic.
This mosaic features 99 chocolate, 64 green vanilla, 108 yellow vanilla, 294 white vanilla, and 35 orange vanilla cupcakes.
Zelda and cupcakes? I just hope they keep the cupcakes far enough away from the limited edition copies.
Nintendo World is located at 10 Rockefeller Plaza New York, NY 10020.
Again, this is a pre-release party. The actual street date for The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia is Tuesday, January 29th.
