Nintendo Wii U price and release date announced

The Wii U is ready to come to the US in November!

The Nintendo fan community has waited eagerly for the announcement of the price tag and the release date for the Wii U.

Now the wait is over.

Today Nintendo confirmed the North American price and release date on the newly launched official Wii U website.

Nintendo will offer two options for gamers, similar to how Microsoft offered options for the Xbox 360. The first will be the Wii U basic, which will be a white system, GamePad and will have 8GB of space. That package will round out at about $300 American. If you're looking for more bang for your buck, Nintendo will also be offering the Wii U Deluxe, which will be black in color and offer a lot more storage, coming in at $350 American.

The website also revealed another bit of interesting info, as apparently Bayonetta 2 is confirmed for the system. The sequel to arguably Platinum Games most popular IP is a big deal to hard core action fans. It also comes as a bit of a pleasant surprise.

Finally, the announced release date will be just in time for the holidays. Nintendo confirmed the system will launch November 18.

So, now that those bits of information are out, where do you stand? Are you still excited for the system? Does the price seem a bit high for you? Or is that a plunge you're willing to take? Feel free to leave a comment and let me know.
