If you’re a fan of the “Pokemon” franchise and equally have a love for manga and graphic novels, this news is sure to be a treat for you. According to an announcement made on March 3, American graphic novel publisher Viz Media and video game developer Nintendo have teamed up to released three new graphic novels based on Nintendo’s “Pokemon” games and movies. The graphic novels will be released from the months of March through August.
The first graphic novel, released today on March 5, is “Pokemon the Movie: Kyurem vs. the Sword of Justice”. This book serves as a companion piece to the most recent “Pokemon” animated film by the same name.
The second graphic novel is titled “Pokemon Adventures: Black and White”, and will follow the tale of the Pokemon trainers found in the Black and White games in the series. This book will be release in July.
Lastly, “Pokemon Adventures: HeartGold and SoulSilver” is a two-volume release to be available in August, and the two books will follow Gold and Silver in their quest to team up with Lance and Arceus and stop Team Rocket.
The latest Pokemon titles in the video game series are the as yet unreleased “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y”. The sixth generation games should see a worldwide release later this year on the Nintendo 3DS sometime in October.
