Nintendo to host 'Super Smash Bros.' 3DS tournament at San Diego Comic-Con

Today July 10, 2014 Nintendo announced that they're be hosting a special Super Smash Bros. tournament for Nintendo 3DS at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25, 2014. Attendees will be among the first to get their hands on the game far in advance to the official launch date of Oct. 3, 2014. Oh, and bragging rights to the winner. And there will be massive bragging rights indeed.

The Super Smash Bros. tournament for Nintendo 3DS is open to everyone, however space is limited so you'll have to arrive early to sign up and secure your spot at the Nintendo Gaming Lounge right next door to the San Diego Convention Center at the Marriott Marquis & Marina. The event starts at noon with preliminary groups of four battling it out to be the winner in order to advance into the next round. All rounds won't be four players though: The finals will showcase one-to-one combat "to determine the top smasher."

Can't make it out to the San Diego Comic-Con? You don't have to miss out on any of the tournament action. The event will be live on Nintendo’s Twitch channel at http://www.twitch.tv/Nintendo and there will also be several more Nintendo Gaming Lounge events to view from home too.
