Nintendo unveiled its plans for 2014, which include new games and updates to current titles, Nintendo said in a press release today obtained by Examiner.
Among the new games announced was “NES Remix,” which combines elements from 16 popular eight-bit Nintendo titles and allows gamers to play the classic levels with different characters and in new ways. Nintendo also announced that Tecmo-Koei is designing a new title for their “Warriors” series that takes place in the world of “The Legend of Zelda.”
Other announcements include Rosalina as a playable character in both “Mario Kart 8” and the new “Super Smash Bros.,” as well as the addition of golf in “Wii Sports Club” and new levels available for download for “Sonic: Lost World.”
New 3DS games “Yoshi’s New Island,” “Kirby Triple Deluxe” and “Bravely Default” were also announced.
“Today’s announcements reinforce that Nintendo systems are consumers’ best options for enjoying quality games now, and will continue to be in 2014,” Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s president and COO said in the release. “From new upcoming games in theMario Kart and Super Smash Bros. series to original Nintendo eShop content like NES Remix, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS provide a combination of value and variety that only Nintendo can offer.”
