Nintendo's trying to figure out social media, getting their word out to more masses than in the past. They have both an American and Japanese Twitter feed to update gamers, have done Q&A features in text, but now have added video to their roster.

Nintendo Direct launched today in both American and Japanese flavors. Satoru Iwata hosts the Japanese version (complete with lectern), featuring interviews and trailers. Reggie Fils-Aime runs the American one, revealing some new trailers alongside America-specific news, such as Hulu Plus joining their current focus of consoles.

The frequency of these videos from the Presidents of Nintendo is unknown, but look to be a good source of exclusive news straight from the source.
