"Pokemon" is, without a doubt, on of Nintendo's staple franchises with million in sales for every new release to the Nintendo DS handheld consoles. More "Pokemon" for either the Wii U or Nintendo 3DS is on the way though as the game maker announced a new Nintendo Direct broadcast Monday.
"Join fans around the world [tomorrow] for the 1st Nintendo Direct of 2013. Mr. Iwata will share a short message [with] Pokemon new @ 6 AM EST!" the Nintendo of America Twitter account announced.
According to Serebii.net, this "Pokemon Direct" broadcast will be 10 minutes long and focus solely on the "Pokemon" franchise.
Will the "Pokemon Direct" be a confirmation that the franchise is making the expected migration to the Nintendo 3DS with the next handheld release? Or will Nintendo do something more unexpected with a Wii U release?
We've thought that a "Skylanders" version of "Pokemon" using the Wii U's NFC tech to marry toys with a game was a good idea since the console was first announced. What do you think we'll be announced?
