Nintendo delays several Nintendo Wii U titles from launch window release dates

If you're one of the many Nintendo Wii U owners looking forward to a new round of games you're having some bad luck today. Nintendo has been making the news today pushing back plenty of games that were set to release before March came to a close.

Nintendo made a lot of promises about what games would be available in the launch window of the console, which ran from November of last year and would end in March of this year. While gamers have had games like "New Super Mario Bros. U", "Assassin's Creed 3" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2", a new system needs new games to keep people going.

Some of the bigger games, like "Wii Fit U", "Game & Wario" and the much hyped "The Wonderful 101" have all officially fallen out of the launch window release timeframe per Nintendo. They now all reside under a release window of "first half 2013" which could see the games take until June to finally launch.

"Pikmin 3" has become even less specific then "first half of 2013", which is a shame considering how many fans there are of the franchise and how big the game is for the Wii U console. The game could launch before June, but nothing is set in stone.

For now Wii U owners can look forward to "Need for Speed: Most Wanted" in March and continue to playing what they already have.

Hopefully it's enough to keep them playing.
