Nintendo confirmed this morning that they will be releasing a special 3DS XL bundle alongside the launch of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Aside from looking spiffy, the latest addition to Nintendo's line of special handhelds comes with a download code for A Link Between Worlds. This bundle does not appear to be exclusive to GameStop or any other retailer, but is, of course, a limited edition.
As for the 3DS itself, it's really everything that Zelda fans could want from a specialty console. There's a Triforce laid across its shiny gold exterior, with a black bottom that is supposed to represent the game's theme of switching between Hyrule and Lorule. Oddly, the inside of the 3DS is also golden, while most other versions of the handheld have been black around the screen (which may be in order to help the 3D effect).
Fans can expect to get their hands on this golden 3DS XL, along with The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, on November 22nd. The bundle has been set for a suggested price of $219.99.
