Pokemon characters Charizard and Greninja will be part of Nintendo's Super Smash Bros., expected to launch for Nintendo 3DS this summer. Polygon reports that the Wii U edition of the game will not be out until winter 2014.
Charizard is an old-school Pokemon, first introduced in Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Red, the first generation of the Pokemon game series. The fire-based character is the third evolution of Charmander. Pokemon Greninja, the final form of Froakie, was first introduced in Nintendo's Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.
JoyStiq.com reports that Super Smash Bros. will have a new form of a Pokeball, the Masterball, with a rare Pokemon inside.
In addition to playable characters Charizard, Greninja, Pikachu and Lucario, Nintendo is including a long list of non-playable Pokemon to the game, including: Fennekin, Meloetta, Gogoat, Entei, Deoxys, Palkia, Kyurem, Victini, Keldeo, Xerneas, Meowth, Electrode, Evee, Staryu and Metagros.
