Nintendo 3DS demo at local GameStop stores

On Sunday March 27th Nintendo released their new portable system, the 3DS. The newest gaming system from Nintendo boasts 3D graphics without special glasses like movies currently require. Many people have purchased the system already but for those in the Dayton area who are hesitant to do so until they see just how the gaming console works GameStop stores will have a demo of the unit on Sunday April 3rd for people to check out.

Those who attend the demo can enter to win one of the new 3DS systems and other prizes. Entry is only available at those locations which are hosting the demo but since it appears almost all of them in Dayton are doing so, entering is easy. There are two prizes which can be won. The Grand prize; which will be awards to 60 winners; is a Nintendo 3DS system, carrying case for the system, and a $500 GameStop Gift Card to purchase games for it. All 250 First prize winners will get a $60 GameStop gift card to purchase a 3DS game with.

For those who are interested but have held off purchasing the new Nintendo 3DS, GameStop is also offering a discount with a trade-in. Bring a DSi XL and receive $100 off the purchase of the 3DS, a DSi will get $75 off, and a DS lite $50.

Eight stores in all will have demo units available; more than normally have midnight openings for new games and equipment. These are: Wilmington Pike, Linden Ave, W Dorothy Lane, the store in the Fairfield Commons Mall, all three Miamisburg-Centerville Rd locations; one of which is in the Dayton Mall; and York Commons Blvd. Stores open at 10 am.
