that's not good enough:/
Sigma 1 sold 500,000 copies worldwide (update 2008)
NG2 sold 1 million worldwide. (took two months to reach 1 million!)
I mean all the effort of trying to limit the game so it wouldn't be rated 18+ by sacrificing the blood so the game could still be purchased by gamers aged from 17+ were for nothing.
But you have to admit, NGS2 sold 370,000 in just 1 month!!! That's so close to 400,000.
Once again the game came out at a bad time because we have Tekken 666, Uncharted theives 2, Modernator Warfare 2 and Marvelous Ultimate Idiot Alliances 2, Frozen 3 etc.
I bought it, a few weeks back and havent played it yet... I'm a big fan of the NG/DOA series and I hope to see more of them (atleast multiplatform) in the future.
PS3 owners get hot, Team Ninja goes out of their way to make the best Ninja Gaiden yet and you havent bought it. Screw Modern Snorefare and get a real mans game, it will last you a lot longer the 4 hours.
It's not a strong enough title to stand on it's own in the PS3 lineup, even if it is miles better than the 360 one.
I might have cared about this game last year, it's just too late.
Those sales figures aren't bad considering it was launching against Uncharted 2 and Ratchet & Clank: ACIT. Did anyone really expect a DOA spinoff to be at the top of PS3 owners lists this quarter?
Bought it first day, enjoyed it, but more of the same. I was expecting more levels for the female characters and being selectable or teamed with for additional stages due to MP coop pictures initially, but this game unlike NGS where Rachel actually got a few short stages they each get just one. Tecmo's Team Ninja needs to rethink this series for the next game. Not change the game play style but the content. Add additional RPG elements like purchasable armor, weapon effect upgrades (burning, freezing, shock, etc.), all upgrades transferable in additional play through (optional) on any difficulty setting, selectable stages for some what non-linear experience with a central hub location (Ryu's village), coop stages with selectable NPC allies similar to MP mode (select Rachel and Ryu defaults to NPC, etc), split screen MP (coop, 4 Player versus, etc.), and others to make the next game really stand out and worth $60US amongst the already crowded scene.
I still like NGS more overall (st

This is an Hack n Slash AKA Ninja Gaiden not RPG.
If Team NINJA does make this ridiculous changes, I'll never buy a Ninja Gayman game again!
ng2 was a turd. they can polish the turd it'll still be a turd.
so many people got burned by the 360 ng2, so they already lost the non fanboys. then the elitists complain about blood, so they lost them.
