The Social Network was nominated for Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Score).

The pair will find stiff competition from fellow nominee Inception, written by Hans Zimmer and featuring Smiths guitarist Johhny Marr. The original score has recently received a BAFTA nod.

Rounding out the Oscar category are: How To Train Your Dragon; John Powell, The King’s Speech; Alexandre Desplat, and 127 Hours; A.R. Rahman.

Suit up gentleman, the 83rd Academy Awards will be handed out Sunday, February 27th.

NICE!!!! I love NIN. They kind of remind me of The Black Dots of Death. Have any of ya'll heard of them? They sound like a cross
between Slipknot and NIN…this is some twisted music! Check out their song “Standing Alone” here: http://standingalone.viinyl.com/
