Nine Inch Nails 2013: Trent Reznor wins Grammy for movie score (Photos)

"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" movie soundtrack is the brainchild of front man for the band Nine Inch Nails, Trent Reznor. Reznor won a Grammy Award at the broadcast on Feb. 10, 2013.

Reznor's band produced the following albums from its formation in 1989 to present. "Formation," "Pretty Hate Machine," "Broken," "The Downward Spiral," "The Fragile," "With Teeth," "Year Zero," "Ghosts I–IV" and "The Slip." Although the band in on a hiatus from touring, for now, Reznor's music plays on.

Reznor teamed up with Atticus Ross for "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" soundtrack won for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, giving Reznor his third Grammy (he won two with Nine Inch Nails) and Ross his first. The two also won an Oscar for their "Social Network" score at the 2011 Academy Awards.

For Reznor imitation is not the sincerest form of flattery. Reznor is quoted as saying, Nine Inch Nails have influenced many newer artists, which according to Reznor range from "generic imitations" dating from his initial success, to younger bands echoing his style in a "truer, less imitative way."

Reznor was quite the bad boy, militant earlier in his career, in his infamous dispute with his record label and battles with the media. However, with three Grammy Awards and a Oscar, Reznor continues to strive for success and expand his vision and talent in a far less bombastic manner, these days.
