For those times when one needs an energy boost or missed a meal when traveling, here are some bars that can be substituted in lieu or a candy bar or a sugary sweet cereal bar made with high fructose corn syrup.

Annie's Organic Chocolate Chip Granola Bars
These bars are packed with 8g of whole grain per serving, certified organic, and contain no artificial ingredients, synthetic preservatives or high-fructose corn syrup.

Bumble Bar
Try these organic, vegan, gluten-free, ethically sourced sesame bars made with pure and simple ingredients for a chewy bar that also has a sweet bit of a crunch to it. Among their array of flavors include Chai Almond, Cherry Chocolate and Paradise Pineapple.

These bars made from 70% organic ingredients and nothing artificial added are high in calcium and folic acid and rich in antioxidants A, C, E with 8g protein and 3g fiber.
