On Jan. 10, Nina Dobrev checked into the Critic's Choice Movie Awards, a surprise to many fans who were disappointed when "The Vampire Diaries" star didn't join her man, Ian Somerhalder, at The People's Choice Awards (PCA) on Jan. 9.
But never fear. The two were together last night after starting out the evening in two different places. Ian was at Nokia Theatre L.A. for PCA during which time he was a presenter while Nina was booked at the Dior dinner, hanging out with Nikki Reed and Anna Kendrick before Somerhalder showed up.
Not only were the two reunited late in the evening on Wednesday, but they were celebrating Dobrev's birthday since she had just turned 24. The couple joked around at the last event of the evening, even taking photos to memorialize the evening.
One such shot was taken with "Dancing with the Stars" hunk Derek Hough. That particular picture became very important today as the image made the rounds on the social media circuit and was even noted by certain pundits, some of whom blindly decided after spotting a huge rock on the Nina's finger that Dobrev and Somerhalder agreed to be engaged.
Wrong. According to Gossip Cop, the Bulgarian-born actress' representative weighed in to debunk this rumor, saying to the news source that these alleged engagement rumblings are, in fact, "totally untrue."
What is true is the fact that Nina Dobrev did turn up on Thursday night at the People's Choice Movie Awards rocking a really sparkly Monique Lhullier dress. The actress' shapely pins were somewhat on show but not as much as her ample cleavage thanks to a crazy big cutout in the top of the frock.
And yes, Nina Dovrev was rocking diamonds when she attended the Critics' Choice Movie Awards in Santa Monica on Jan. 10, but they were on her ears, not on her finger.
And yes, Ian Somerhalder was there with his partner in both play and work but "The Vampire Diaries" hunk did not pose with Dobrev on this most recent Tinseltown red carpet as Nina strutted in all her fashionable glory. However, Ian did present with Jaime King on the stage during the show but what happened after the big show is to be determined, so stay tuned.
