Nikki Sixx, bassist for the heavy metal band Motley Crue, and model Courtney Bingham tied the knot, exchanging wedding vows on March 15 in a traditional ceremony. The event took place at Greystone Mansion in Los Angeles. It was a relatively small ceremony, with approximately 130 people attending. A pair of peacocks greeted the guests, adding an exotic touch to the wedding.
Courtney had not one, but two custom made wedding dresses, one for the actual ceremony and one for the reception's cake cutting and dancing. The wedding cake served was the bride's favorite dessert - triple berry cake. The wedding gown which Courtney walked down the aisle in had a 13 foot train, and was inspired by the dress worn by Jennifer Lawrence at the Oscars.
This marriage is the third for Nikki Sixx, 55, and the first for Miss Bingham, 28. Nikki's four children from his previous marriages took part in the ceremony. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the newlyweds stated that they do plan to have one child together in the future. There should be plenty of time for childrearing, since Motley Crue's upcoming tour is officially The Final Tour for the Crue.
Motley Crue's Final Tour will be in Dallas July 16 at the Gexa Energy Pavilion. There are very few tickets still available for this show, so get yours before they are all gone!
