Nikka Costa recently performed in Los Angeles and while there took time to chat with Drfunkenberry.com about her experience working with Adam Lambert on his upcoming album. She spoke about how she met Adam through a mutual friend prior to his time on American Idol. She had only good things to say about Adam:
“He’s a very, very nice guy. He’s very down to earth and he’s really talented. And he’s got his head on the right way. And you know, I think he’s trying to make a good record. He’s trying to make something that he’s proud of, but also something that will still appeal to his fans, but also he’s trying to stretch his wings a little bit.”

Also at her Los Angeles concert, Nikka mentioned Adam while on stage. According to concert goers, Nikka said, "Adam lambert told me that it was the first time he came in a lady's box. So I sort of de-virginized Adam Lambert." She was being playful with the implied double entendre, but was speaking of her YouTube channel called “Nikka’s Box.” In April, while collaborating on a song for Adam’s upcoming album, they made a video together for Nikka’s box entitled, “belting out a new tune.” It is a spoof video, with them each trying to outdo the other by singing higher notes.
Nikka’s EP, Pro*Whoa! has just been released and Adam tweeted to support his friend:
“Go get @officialnikka's new EP Pro Woah on iTunes! She's got the most flavor. Period.”
