"Nikita" joined the club of shows that featured amputations this season when Nikita cut off Michael's hand to save his life in the last episode. On Tuesday, Jan. 22, the CW released a preview of season 3 episode 8, "Aftermath," and Nikita's decision could have damaging effects on Nikita and Michael's relationship.
In this next "Nikita" episode, Nikita (Maggie Q) teams up with Owen (Devon Sawa)—he's back!—to go after a rogue "cleaner," Liam (Pedro Pascal). Michael (Shane West) takes a new position at Division, as to be expected after he lost a hand, and while the episode description cites their relationship becoming strained as he watches her work with Owen, that's not the only thing that's going to cause problems for "Mikita."
The season began happily for the couple, with their engagement, but as the "Aftermath" promo, which you can watch below, shows, "strained" may be a bit of an understatement regarding their relationship. The preview offers a look at Nikita trying to be there for Michael as he adjusts to his new hand, but this isn't something they're going to be doing together. "I don't want your help," he tells her. "And I sure as hell don't want to go over and over what happened." As can be expected, Michael's going to be angry. We can't wait to see what's coming up between Michael and Owen, especially after that last part of the promo.
"Nikita" season 3 airs Fridays at 8 p.m. on the CW. How do you think the loss of his hand is going to affect Michael's relationship with Nikita?
