Nike revealed the first youth-exclusive colorway of the Nike LeBron 11 on Monday. Patterned after one of the most ferocious creatures to ever roam the Earth in the Tyrannosaurus Rex, this "T-Rex" LeBron 11 is a playful take on children's fascination with dinosaurs.
Some of the inspirational cues used in the development of the "T-Rex" colorway include the use of volt on the swoosh and outsole to represent the creature's glowing eyes, shades of green coupled with a textured upper unique to this colorway are symbolic of its scaly skin and the pink around the collar of the shoe brings to mind the the scary mouth of the beast.
While baby to toddler sizes will look similar to the adult-sized LeBron 11, it will be without the much-talked about Hyperposite construction. Instead they will include Velcro straps that are more appropriate to kids of that age group. The grade school sizes will feature the Hyperposite technology along with a Lunarlon insert like the in adult-sized LeBron 11s.
The Nike LeBron 11 "T-Rex" will be available at various retail locations and at Nike.com on November 29. Pricing will vary by size and SKU, but they were not revealed at this time.
