Nike has seemed to have taken Argentina's kit in a different direction in the past few years. Their usual look was slightly changed and the alternate kit this season will be looked at as a radical change. The US-based sportswear giant release Los Pumas new alternate kit and there are some important changes on it on the eve of the third edition of the Rugby Championship when they take on South Africa in Pretoria. The alternate kit will be used by Daniel Hourcade's side as when they make their debut in the Rugby Championship this weekend against the Springboks this coming weekend.
The alternate jersey has several tones of blue and the artwork and triangles shows the face of the Puma on the front. The inside of the shirt has the inscription saying "Son Eternos Los Laureles" (Eternal are the victories), lyrics from the country's national anthem.
The jersey also has the new UAR logo that was presented back in 2013 and adds a look of change to the kit.
The Rugby Championship's third edition will also look to see a revamped Argentine side that will see a new coach in Hourcade as well as a new captain in Agustín Creevy. For Argentine rugby, there have been a few close calls in the previous two editions of this tournament; though they are still looking for their first victory in it.
The preparation phase leading up to this tournament was not the best as they lost the three test matches in June against Ireland (twice) and Scotland.
