The Nike Kobe 9 Elite will be making its way to grade school sizes, according to a forum user on Nike Talk. The NT member posted a picture of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite "Perspective" in a size fit for kids at a retail location in Korea.
The Nike Kobe 9 Elite releasing in GS sizes is significant for several reasons. This will be the first time a Nike sneaker with Flyknit technology will release in GS sizes; Nike has opted to keep previous product with Flyknit in adult sizes only. The GS Kobe 9 also features a lower cut overall in comparison to its adult size counterpart, looking more like a mid-cut or 3/4-cut shoe that some have been hoping for. The carbon fiber on the midsole has also been retained, meaning that those in smaller sizes but looking for the same technological benefits of the bigger sizes will not be compromised.
With the Nike Kobe 9 Elite "Perspective" expected to launch in American territories on March 8, there is still no official word from Nike Basketball whether the GS size will release day and date with the adult sizes or if they plan taking a different approach with the release.
The Nike Kobe 9 Elite NRG will also be available soon, but not only in New York. Find out where here.
