Nike gives Tiger Woods their full support, will not pull the plug on endorsement

Nike gives Tiger Woods their full support despite his current mistress count and will not pull the plug on their endorsement agreement with the golf legend.

Phil Knight, Nike Chairman and co-founder says Tiger's current situation is "part of the game".

Shortly after admitting his infidelity in his marriage to wife Elin Nordegren (and his two children), sponsors Gillette and Accenture said sayonara to Tiger.

"I think he's been really great," Knight said in Street & Smith's SportsBusiness Journal. "When his career is over, you'll look back on these indiscretions as a minor blip, but the media is making a big deal out of it right now."

This news comes after Tiger admitted his need for an "indefinite break" from the game of golf for "personal healing."

Sponsor AT&T has said it is "evaluating its relationship" with Tiger. Other celebrity endorsements include PepsiCo's Gatorade, which said they'd discontinue the Tiger Woods Focus campaign but the decision was unrelated to recent happenings, Electronic Arts, TLC Vision Corp, Upper Deck, Berkshire Hathaway, NetJets and Tag Heuer.

    I'm boycotting these sickos @ the AP, and all the endorsement that supports this pathetic wood cheater. Nike can go to hell as well. A two face liar and all he did was use his family image to help his image that help make him even more millions,, Elin is entitled for that money and i hope she gets as much as she can. Elin gave him 2 kids love, and support, without even caring about being in the spotlight. (when was she last in a interview? or seeking publicity and attention during there 5 year marriage before his wicked ways. She is smart, and educated. That tiger used and abused her and became arrogant. Elin is my hero. The fact is Tiger gets millions because the consumer pays for his products, and therefore are mad he deceived us as well. He will never be the same in my book, i hate him.
