Sophomore guard Nik Stauskas and sophomore forward Glenn Robinson III made it official at a press conference today in Ann Arbor, where head coach John Beilein announced the duo will give up their final two years of college eligibility to make themselves available in the forthcoming NBA draft, which will take place June 26 in New York City. Each was integral over the last two seasons to the success of the University of Michigan basketball team, which advanced to the national championship game and Elite Eight of the NCAA postseason tournament in 2013 and 2014, respectively.

Stauskas, who hails from Mississauga, Ontario, had a breakout 2013-14 campaign in which he scored 17.5 points, 3.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game. As a result, he garnered numerous accolades, including the John R. Wooden All-America Team and a second-team All-America choice by the Associated Press and the Sporting News. The 6’6” Stauskas also claimed Big Ten Player of the Year honors.

Robinson III, only the fourth sophomore in U-M men's basketball history to serve as team captain and whose father Glenn played in the NBA for 11 seasons, did not miss a single game over his two years, and took the court as a starter in all 76 of those contests. Big Ten coaches and media tapped him as an honorable mention All-Big Ten player for his performance in 2014, and Robinson finished his Wolverine career with a career average of 12.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
