Nightmares on Wax at the Parish on July 4

Combine your love for music and ‘Merica this July 4th at the Parish for an evening with Nightmares on Wax. N.O.W. is returning to Austin for a very special follow up performance to his last sold out show at the Parish in March after SXSW.

With 25 years worth of credentials as a world-renowned DJ, George Evelyn, also know as DJ E.A.S.E. (Experimental Audio Sample Expert), is the man behind Nightmares on Wax. From his early singles like ‘Dextrous and ‘Aftermath’ to the classic stoner album ‘Smoker’s Delight’ that is considered a key catalyst for the outburst of the down tempo genre, Evelyn has left an influential footprint in music and culture that will not be forgotten.

With a lot of touring and traveling under his belt, Evelyn has big things ahead of him. When the US tour is over and summertime ends, he plans to get back into the studio to work with a full orchestra on a new album. He promises to continue to make classic, time music and “just be 100% Nightmares on Wax.”

Get ready for a night where the power of music will get you to channel the feeling of feeling good. You’ll be led on an acoustic journey of all genres, including house, funk, soul, hip hop, chill out, reggae, and everything in between. After all, that’s what it’s all about.

In anticipation of the N.O.W. IS THE TIME, a best of compilation released this June, Warp Records dropped a retrospective documentary about their longest serving artist and his 25 year career in music. Check it out here!

Limited tickets are still on sale online for $18 until midnight, so get them while they’re hot! Doors are at 8pm with the show starting at 9pm. This is all ages event. Buy yours now here.
