Night of Joy is coming to Walt Disney World: Only problem is deciding who to see

Night of Joy at Walt Disney World is just around the corner. This major Christian music festival actually covers two nights, and the only bad thing about it is deciding who to see. The line-up is packed with favorites like Mandisa, Matthew West, Building 429, Casting Crowns, Skillet, and Mercy Me. There are three stages with shows running simultaneously, including the main stage in front of Cinderella Castle, so you'll have to make some tough decisions on who you're going to see.

The event runs September 5 and 6 and starts in the Magic Kingdom after the park closes for the evening. Here's who you'll see on September 5:

  • Hillsong United
  • Chris Tomlin
  • Matthew West
  • for KING & COUNTRY
  • Mandisa
  • Building 429
  • Matt Maher
  • The Neverclaim

Here's the September 6 line-up:

  • Skillet
  • Casting Crowns
  • Mercy Me
  • Britt Nicole
  • Israel Houghton & New Breed
  • Colton Dixon
  • Rhett Walker Band
  • We As Human
  • 1 Girl Nation

You can purchase a ticket for one or both nights, and there are group discounts if you get together a group of friends or a busload from your church.

Click the video accompanying this article for some scenes from last year's Night of Joy event. Many of the Magic Kingdom's major rides are open, but don't plan on having a lot of time to enjoy them. With a full slate of musical entertainment each night, you're far more likely to be busy staking out your spot by the stage to enjoy your favorite performers.

If you'd like more details, visit the official Night of Joy page on the Walt Disney World website. It has information on both individual and group tickets. All of the concerts are included with a Night of Joy ticket, and you also get a free day at a Disney water park DisneyQuest at Downtown Disney if you purchase the two night admission.
