'Night at the Museum 3" given the green light

Another unnecessary sequel is fast approaching to a franchise I wish would just die already.

Collider has learned that director Shawn Levy (“Real Steel”) has just been given the green light to helm “Night at the Museum 3.”

Ben Stiller will reprise his annoying role as a museum security guard, and a lot of big named celebrities are likely to cameo like usual.

After being mildly entertained by the first film, and bored to death by the second, I can only assume that money is the sole reason they are making a third (the movies grossed a lot).

With a release date of December 25, 2014 production is likely to begin soon, and then we will have more plot details, but this is definitely something I am not too excited about seeing.
