Nidel Malik Hasan, Fort Hood shooter is awake and talking

Nidel Malik Hasan is awake and talking this morning, according to a spokesman for the Army hospital.  They have not released any information about what he has said or if he has identified a motive.  According to witnesses Hasan is responsible for the shooting that took place Thursday at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas.  13 people are dead and 28 people wounded after Hasan allegedly opened fire on the Army base.  Hasan was shot several times and has been in a coma since Thursday.

Over the weekend, Senator Joe Liberman announced that he is opening an investigation into whether the Army took the proper steps in handling Hasan and the numerous complaints made about him.  This comes as people who knew Nidal Malik Hasan are coming forward with what they knew about him. Hasan attended a Virginia mosque (a place of worship) that two of the September 11 hijackers also attended. It is not known if he was associated with the hijackers.  For more on the investigation, click here.

Two of the victims from Thursday’s shooting at Fort Hood in Texas were from Utah; one soldier is dead and the other is in the hospital. Aaron Thomas Nemelka died at the scene, and was from West Jordan, Utah. The families are in shock because they don’t understand how something like this could happen on a military base.

all of this reverse investigating is going to cause problems here.

I hope the military knows better than to blame anyone except for themselves.
