Pop singer Nicole Scherzinger premiered the music video for her newest single, “Boomerang,” on Friday. The futuristic clip features an army of Nicoles singing the empowering electro-pop tune.
“Boomerang” is the first single from Scherzinger's second U.K. album. She answers to her naysayers on the pop track, singing, “Oh, you can turn me down, you can throw me now / The harder out, the harder I come back around.” It's great to hear the singer keep moving forward and not deterred by two cancelled albums in the U.S.
The “Boomerang” music video is just as colorful the song. It opens with Scherzinger wearing some fashion forward outfits around a cubic scene similar to the ones featured in La Roux's “Bulletproof” and Kylie Minogue's “Love at First Sight.” She is later multiplied into an army of Nicoles (like will.i.am and Britney Spears in “Scream & Shout”), which all embody the track's bold message. With her mid-air jumping shots, the clip definitely screams, “I am Nicole, see me soar!”
“Boomerang” was released to radio in the U.K. on Thursday. It has not yet been released to the U.S.
