It looks like Nicole Kidman ("Batman Forever") is really gunning for an Oscar nomination (and hopefully a win) in the next few years.
She just finished production on "Grace of Monaco" where she plays Grace Kelly (a role that should have went to Naomi Watts), and now she is gunning to take over Naomi Watt's role in Werner Herzog's "Queen of the Desert."
The story centers on Gertrude Bell, an explorer, writer, archaeologist and attaché for the British Empire who is credited with helping to catalyze the formation of the Middle East at the dawn of the 20th century.
I am not the biggest Kidman fan, although I think she's had some great roles (remember "The Others?"), and I wish this role was staying with her more talented friend Naomi.
