What if you were to combine the domestic dangers of Julia Roberts' Sleeping with the Enemy with the mind-bending drama of Memento? The result would probably look a lot like Before I Go to Sleep, the new psychological thriller that reunites Nicole Kidman with her Railway Man co-star, Colin Firth. With a new release date just a couple of months away, a new trailer and poster for the buzz-worthy film has hit the web.

Based on the best selling debut novel by S.J. Watson and directed by Rowan Joffe (Brighton Rock), Kidman plays a woman traumatized by an attack she suffered years ago. She wakes up every day with no memory of what happened, and what, if anything, her supposedly caring husband (Firth) and doctor (Mark Strong) have to do with it. She begins documenting every clue Memento-style and uncovers some disturbing truths about those she is closest to. Between this and Gone Girl this fall should be a fruitful one for those in search of mature crime thrillers.

Before I Go to Sleep has been moved from its September 12th slot and will now open on October 31st.

SYNOPSIS: A taut thriller based on the worldwide best-selling novel by S.J. Watson, BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP is the story of a woman (Nicole Kidman) who wakes up every day with no memory as the result of a traumatic accident in her past. One day, terrifying new truths begin to emerge that make her question everything she thinks she knows about her life – as well as everyone in it, including her doctor (Mark Strong) and even her husband (Colin Firth).
