Nicole Kidman's brunette look is all new. The usually blonde Kidman had to change her hair color to brunette for a role in a new film, and it is quite the different look for the Australian born actress. On April 1, Just Jared shared photos of the actress with her new look.

Kidman is back at home in Australia to film this new project, and she had to rid her hair of the blonde look for the new film. She is now filming "Strangerland." The film co-stars Hugo Weaving, and it set for release to theaters in 2015. The plot of the film will tell the story of the disappearance of two teens in the Australian outback. The film will focus on the impact it has on the relationship of their parents.

The actress said the following about the film and returning home to film the project:

"I am always looking for the right script to bring me home to Australia. The moment I read Strangerland I knew this was a film I couldn’t say no to. I’m looking forward to working on a film in Australia."

Joseph Fiennes is also in the film. He joined the project after Guy Pearce backed out of the project. Kidman stars as the mother of the two teens, and Fiennes is playing their father. Production began on the project this week in Sydney.
