Writer/Director, Nicole Conn known for her lesbian movies Claire Of The Moon (1992), Elena Undone (2010) and A Perfect Ending (2012, will direct a Marriage Equality USA (MEUSA) public service announcement that will be released in December.
SHE4MarriageEquality will launch a high-end video clip to the song SHE produced by Los Angeles-based WingSpan Films. The song is written and performed by Jen Foster and rearranged into an orchestral dance mix by music producer Eve Nelson.
"Music and video projects like this have the power to impact millions of viewers by showing the love and commitment that is celebrated and protected by passing civil marriage equality for LGBTQ families,” said Brian Silva Executive Director Marriage Equality USA. “We at MEUSA are thrilled to be a part of the SHE4MarriageEquality project."
The SHE video will be the first music video directed by Conn, who was recently named one of the top ten gay women in show business by POWER UP!
SHE4MarriageEquality tells a story of what seems to be a traditional bride and groom on their wedding day, to be shot on location at the Andaz boutique, in West Hollywood. Choreographer Anthony W. Johnson has prepared a lyrical dance sequence that will feature two women dancing together.
MEUSA, Visit West Hollywood, WOLFE Video, Curve Magazine and Andaz West Hollywood are official supporters of the video along with volunteers from the LGBT community.
“It started out as a small project and now it has snowballed into this large movement,” said singer songwriter Jen Foster. “Everyone who has pitched in to make this PSA come to life has been so genuinely excited to help. It has been a really moving experience.”
Other familiar faces in the video include award winning actresses Barbara Niven (A Perfect Ending), Nicole Pacent (Anyone But Me) and Gabrielle Christian (South of Nowhere).
The PSA will be shot November 6.
