They seem to be getting along just famously!
Last night they took in the new La Comida downtown, celebrating the start of Halloween weekend and First Friday. The award-winning actor and local resident arrived with his wife, Alice Kim alongside Strip headliner Carrot Top and rocker Neil, who was accompanied by not just one but two girlfriends. Cage’s wife was in the spirit of the holiday as she dressed as a ballerina while Neil came as a priest with one of the ladies playfully corresponding to his costume as a devil. Cage and Carrot Top dressed cool and casual.
The group ordered drinks and food, including the fresh guacamole, which was enjoyed by everyone at the table. Carrot Top tucked into chicken tacos and Kim indulged in the carne Asada tacos. Neil ordered a Belvedere on the rocks, Cage sipped on a Crown on the rocks and his wife ordered the restaurant’s famous blood orange margarita while Neil’s leading ladies enjoyed Coronas.
Inspired by the cosmopolitan fare of Mexico City, La Comida is a happening spot, at least according to Cage. He was overheard telling Neil that La Comida “was an awesome place” and plans to return for lunch soon.
The talented trio and ladies had dined at La Cave Wine and Food Hideaway inside Wynn Las Vegas on Tuesday afternoon. They enjoyed a selection of small plates including the charcuterie board, bacon wrapped dates, jumbo lump crab lettuce cups and a variety of flatbreads prepared by executive chef William “Billy” DeMarco.
The group has good taste as they ordered a bottle of Gabriel Bordeaux Blend from Guadalupe Valley of Mexico. After chatting with owner, Michael Morton, the group told him of their plans to visit The Morton Group’s downtown restaurant, La Comida. Looks like you can count on the word of these resident friends.
Cage has received some positive reviews for his alleged comeback role in the upcoming movie, "Joe."
