Actor Nicolas Cage has finally come forward to defend himself against bizarre allegations that he is a centuries old time traveling vampire. You would think the answer would be obvious. After all, what are the chances that the blue-eyed movie star is the real-life version of Edward from Twilight? There is no chance, according to Cage.
Nicolas Cage addressed those rumors on the January 9, 2012 episode of Late Show. He told David Letterman, "I don't drink blood, and last time I looked in the mirror I had a reflection."
People reported that Nicolas Cage is " . . . almost certain he's not a time-traveling vampire . . . " The rumor started late last year when an eBay seller first offered an unusual Civil War era photograph for sale. The Tennessee man in the antique sepia-toned photo bore a striking resemblance to the star of National Treasure.
The eBay seller claimed that Nicolas Cage is the man from the 170-year-old photo and that the actor is actually a "walking undead/vampire" who "reinvents himself once every 75 years." The seller started the bidding at one million dollars.
Now that Nicolas Cage has laid those vampire rumors to rest, The Huffington Post has come up with an alternate theory. Maybe " . . . he's just immortal." Here's another theory. Maybe it's just a coincidence.
