Nicolas Cage was arrested for domestic violence and disturbing the peace on Saturday, and the first thing we thought of was that the “Drive Angry” actor’s shiny new silver bracelets will finally prevent him from starring in more horribly embarrassing feature films.
According to TMZ, police spotted a very drunk Nic Cage pushing his wife during an argument in the street. And despite asking the couple to go home (speaking of which, why in the world would cops suggest a wife go home with her angry, pushy, drunk husband?) Cage dared the boys in blue to arrest him.
And they did.
Nicolas Cage used to be a great, enjoyable actor to watch. He used to be atop of his game. So it’s amazing to witness not only his personal decline, but his career suicide, too. He’s quickly becoming a second rate actor.
Or is there already?
With his rapid downward spiral, doesn’t it make sense that we’ll see Cage sitting opposite Donald Trump on “Celebrity Apprentice” one day? Or, does it seem more likely that the “National Treasure” star will be sitting opposite Dr. Drew on “Celebrity Rehab?”
