Nico Christiansen wins 'Magic: The Gathering' Grand Prix Quebec City

Yesterday Feb. 24, 2013 23 year old Lexington, Mass. native Nico Christiansen fought his way through a field of over 800 "Magic: The Gathering" players to become the champion of Grand Prix Quebec City, Canada with a Naya Human deck. "All you do is attack," he remarked about his deck.

The deck can have explosive starts and easily overwhelm opponents dealing massive amounts of damage in just the first few turns of the game. Examples include a first turn Champion of the Parish followed by a second turn combination of Burning-Tree Emissary and Mayor of Avabruck or Lightning Mauler.
